Paramedic - Part Time

Job Duties

• Provide basic life support and ambulance transportation
• Provide Advanced Life Support services under the direct medical command from St. Clair Hospital
• Participate in Continuing Education programs
• Operate all authority vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform an annual ancillary duty position as assigned
• Complete documentation and record-keeping required by the Authority

Work Schedule

The Authority is in operation 24/7/365.  All field employees are designated as essential and will be required to report to work during times of emergency and disaster. Management reserves the right to make schedule adjustments as well as assign training days as needed.  The workweek is from Sunday to Saturday and employees are required to work on weekends and holidays as needed in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• 21 Years of Age
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
• Licensed by the Department of Health as a Paramedic
• Ability to complete the MRTSA Physical Ability test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
• Able to pass pre-employment background and driving record checks to the satisfaction of MRTSA standards
• Successfully complete the authorized probationary appointment requirements
